College Initiative programs are those programs that directly engage NSBE Alumni Extension members in mentorship and create meaningful interaction with graduate and undergraduate students. Our annual events include career skills seminars and mock interview workshops for students at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Alabama A&M University, and Oakwood University. We also host a dinner every year for graduating seniors and provide them with information that will prepare them for graduate school and the workforce. In addition to programmed events, the alumni extension members support the collegiate chapters by attending collegiate chapter meetings, sharing past experiences from conferences, and providing valuable contacts at local businesses regarding job opportunities.
